You Dirty Who?
You Dirty Blue started out in 2015 and took no time at all to establish themselves amongst the Birmingham and Midland music scene, earning a reputation for sonically impressive and high energetic live performances, the Tamworth two were soon rubbing shoulders with international touring bands, opening shows and playing on the same bill as Mercury prize winners Wolf Alice, Rough Trade Records shock rockers Starcrawler and Alive Records blues maestros, Radio Moscow to name just a few.
After a performance that by chance had Glastonbury head honcho Michael Eavis in attendance, You Dirty Blue were invited to play Glastonbury by the big man himself.
Relishing a festival stage and atmosphere the band have gone on to perform at some of the best festivals in the U.K, Farmer Phil's and Bearded theory to name just a few. You Dirty Blue had the honour of playing a celebration festival in honour of one of their absolute hero's, John Bonham. Playing at the Palace theatre in Redditch one reviewer said "they seemed to embody what John Bonham was all about – playing rock and roll at the max".
Proud purveyors of the DIY approach, You Dirty Blue have released three e.p's and an album, winning Express & Stars record of the year for their third release, 'Make Way for the Montage'.
2023 already has Bearded Theory, Farmer Phil's and Maui Waui festivals booked in the You Dirty Diary as well as an all dayer, with Fat Possums own one man punk blues juggernaut, Bob Log iii.
